'Dip dying' my hair. Please help?

Hi. So i have dark red hair, it's almost auburn & it's not very long only about to my shoulders. Not that this even matters much. But I'm going to dip dye my hair. So basically I'm going to bleach the tips and it will kind of gradate upwards & my hair will remain my natural color for the top part. Has anyone done this themselves? Ok here's my story...my parents were drug addicts when I was born. After my birth, My dad quit everything and straightened up but my mom didn't. They divorced and I was constantly caught in between fights. My mom was a terrible influence on me and I was quite the troublemaker. My dad won custody of me and remarried. Since I was 6 my dad has straightened me out to be a nice guy. If it wasn't for him, I would prob be a drug addict hs dropout, or a convict, or quite possibly dead. I was really headed down the wrong path. He basically saved my life and I want to get a tattoo for him. He is all tattooed up his arms and on one of his newer ones he was gonna incorporate the bible verse Psalm 23:4 "yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for thou art with me..." but he didn't bc he ran outa room. I really like that and want to get that tagged on me but I don't want just words. What else could I get? I'm open to all serious suggestions. And idrk where I want it yet.

Do you understand your toddler's speech better than your significant other?

Pretty much if I don't know, neither does my wife. He signs and we both know all the signs he knows, but when he uses just his words we are at a completely loss. So far there has only been a couple times neither of us could make sense of what he was saying. "Yyayya" means "outside" Who would have ever guessed that. Then "Deff awooo" means "Jeff's at work." That took my teens figuring out... I can't think of another example.

Does anyone have any examples or pictures of hair that is darker on the bottom but lighter on the top ?

I want to get my hair done where there is like a darker brown or auburn color on the lower layers of my hair and then I have my regular dark blonde hair on top layers of my hair but you can still see a little of the brown in the top layers so the colors flow evenly?? My dr. recently took me off of theophyline which I had been taking 200mg timed release twice a day since?

November ovf 2010. It was working for my breathing (emphysema) but I was having all kinds of nasty side effects and they kept gettting worse. Extreme shakiness, nausea, loss of appetite, hair loss, constant dry mouth and numbness in my lips, jaws and throat. I am wondering if anyone else experienced any of these things and how long did they last after you quit taking it. My dr. says the theophyline should be out of my system in 21/2 days.I am wondering how long I will keep having the effects that were caused by the theophyline.

My best suggestion would to not try to be 'friends' with her but at least a 'work friend', totally ignoring her won't fix anything, you'll always have feeling for her, even exes, divorced couples still care about each other. you just need to find a way to let those feelings or they'll build up inside you and then burst out (crying uncontrollably for what seems to be for no reason) boxing is a good way to keep your mind off her, basically any sport or activity that requires total concentration is a good idea. do them as much as possible, and wait for the next girl. Why is my lower body so big compared to my upper?

I'm a boy and I'm 17. Its just getting annoying now. Since I've noticed from the age of about 13 my bums big and my thighs are enormous. I'm a sprinter but looking in the mirror (naked ;D haha) with only shorts on I don't look it. Your ideal sprinter would have a bigger upper body slimming down towards the bottom (slim but very strong and muscular legs). Plus there's an issure with my arms being skinny and its just becoming annoying lol. Even doh I do a lot of upper bodyy exercises there's barely a difference. I'm 6 ft weighing 13 stones and 11lbs and I run the 100 and 200m. O yh my question is why is my lower body clearly larger than my upper and how can I slim down my thighs and get rid of my HUGE *** but still keep its strength? it is the same speed, if you return it within a certain time period they may exchange it. but it all depends on what you need the laptop for. the processor wont speed up or slow down based on RAM,,, but ram affects how many programs you can run at once on your laptop. the processor is like your subconscious, your RAM is like your consciousness. if you use your laptop for basic things like microsoft office, playing sims 3, email, web camming, downloading music,ect...then this laptop is fine. however, i have a Friend who works for hp as a software engineer and hp has the highest hardware failure rates within two years of the major companies(meaning that more HPs break as compared to other companies within the first two years).so you may want to try and exchange it for that reason. i would suggest dell or acer/gateway(acer owns gateway).

Can I use clay to make gauges?

I went to Michaels craft stop bought fimo clay and it works good! My ears are at 1/2 now .but the problem is u can make one but try making the other and it will be to thick u can't make two perfect sizes. I had to do one ear at a time. And I made tapers. Then bought silicone plugs fir 5$ each. The clay was 99 cents I think .tapers are bad for ur ears by the way and shouldn't be left in long periods of time

What do I do with these toys my parents keep from my childhood?

My parents have keep a ton of my childhood toys from when I grew up from the early 80’s and 90’s. Anything from cabbage patch dolls, hug a bunch dolls, rainbow bright dolls/toys, quite a few Barbie’s - tons of stuff for barbies, Little People Main Street town with all the people - cars - bus - pets etc.., those lincoln logs, cowboys and Indians toys, hot wheels/vehicles, toys for playing with play- doh, MC Donald's toys, a ton ton ton of beanie babies, movies hug a bunch - rainbow bright - duck tails - thundercats - strawberry short cake - puff the magic dragon - care bears etc.., paper dolls, those big refrigerator and kitchen set with stove and working sink - and all the food - dishes - etc.. I also have a lot of food for making sandwiches, etc.. I think you get the idea. Everything is all used played with a lot but it’s all in excellent condition not stuff just to throw away cause it‘s in bad shape. We were debating what to do with all these toys. Are these toys and the others we have that we should just get rid of like in a grage sale or are these things we should keep for when I have kids someday? If I keep these toys I would still buy new ones when I have kids so its not like its all my toys from back then the kid would have new too. What would you suggest doing?

But if I have several stops to make, or if the air conditioner is on, it will stall. I quit running the air conditioning, and it still happens. I have bitten my nails for 5 years now, and my nail bed has shrunk to about half the length of the fingertip (from the start of the nail to the tip of the finger). Now, for your skin i recommend trying to get tanned in the sun or if that doesnt work for you try using tinted moisturizers that give you a natural glow/ coloured skin. Since you have a greasy face, try using a facewash for oily faces twice a day, and moisturize your skin daily with a non-oily moisturizer. Hope i helped.

How do I stop my toddler from squishing his food?

Every time I sit my 3 year old down to eat he always squishes his food and smashes it, rolls it like hes playing with playdoe, rubs it in his hair and up and down his arms. I have switched from messy foods to just finger food again, I have taken food away, I even thought that maybe he wasn't getting enough creative activity in the day so I added playing with play doh do our list of activities, nothing has worked. Hair rejuvenation timing?

I've decided to give myself alittle 30 day challenge...or longer depending on my results. My hair was really damaged by heat from my straightener. So, in attempt to try and fix it, I've decided to cut using the straightener cold turkey...well maybe the turkey is alittle warm with some gravy...as in I have bangs like barbie or Niki Manaji or however you spell her name...anyway I have bangs like them and sometimes little sections of it do ...flip up, so i just straighten that out and go to school yada yada. Anyway im lucky enough that my hair is like play doh. A bun left over night for me = straight hair. Pig tails left over night = crimped hair. However the results arent as "high fashion" as you'd get from a heat styler. Anyways i'm two days into this little attempt of mine. I cut off my split ends and i'm using that new suave professionals thing for damaged hair. So far so good, cleans well and leaves the hair soft but meh. Okay i'm rambling, so as I said i cut off the split ends, im using the shampoo, and absolutely NO heat on the length. How long do you guys think it'll be till my hair isn't...fully alive, but getting there? Also, what can I do just to give it some "inspiration". Don't recommend products please :3

How do you preserve home made play doh?

Try and let it sit in a "moist" room, like your basement or such without a dehumidifier. It's gonna get hard no matter what you do but I'm thinking leaving it in a really dry environment is gonna cause to to harden quickly and unnaturally, leaving it rough and with noticable cracks. Hopefully a moist environment will slow the process and in doing so reduce the cracking and splitting. Other than that I don't really know how to help you =)

OMG! My original 1959 Gibson Les Paul is infested with Termites!?

I've tried everything! I dipped the whole guitar in bleach, I placed it in the stove, Froze it, drowned it in the bath tub and these damn pests are still in there! They are either termites or fire ants. I can hear them munching inside so I think they're fire ants. My Vintage sunburst Les Paul had the most beautiful tone I ever heard. Now it's like 5 lbs lighter and full of termite cavities. The body and neck feel unstable and might colapse any day now. This thing was passed down in my family and I really feel like saving it. Unfortunately now it is ruined and even the pickups dont work (seeing how they're not waterproof, heatproof, or bleachproof) If I can still save the body of the guitar is it possible to still get some doh out of this at an auction or something? I think my grandpa said this guitar is worth more the older it gets. Since I dont know much about guitar prices, would this affect the value of this guitar even though it looks like you can still attach and play strings? Cosmetically, it is ruined.

You may look washed out, even though you have darker skin it can still wash you out. If you mix black with indigo it will come out blue black not jet black. Plus I don't think you should dye your hair black, it is always really obvious and tacky looking when people dye their hair black. Help! My face is Addicted!?

A little while back, I traveled to Nigeria. While I was there for a few days, my skin started breaking out into bumps and rashes. When i went to see the doctor, he said it was because my skin is not used to the environment and the water bacteria and so he prescribed a topical cream for me that contained a steroid in it.... I was in Nigeria for about 7 months, and used the cream ALL the time. Before, i left nigeria, i decided to stop using the cream since i was going back to the states anyways and because I had noticed that It was doing wierd things to my skin like color changes, or color "spots" and when i tried to stop, not more than a day of not using it, my face would just break out all over in rashes. I tried over and over again to quit using the cream but I just couldn't stick to it without my face breaking out everywhere. Now, im back in the states, and i dont have the cream with me or anything like the cream and I want to get off the cream. My face right now is horrible, its been about 1 week, and im itchy everywhere, dry, and my face is all rashed up. Has anyone homeschooling tried using color coding for their daily routine/curriculum schedule?

Looking for some new and creative yet simplistic ideas for homeschooling. Has anyone every tried using a color coding system with their kids' daily routine? I recently found some really neat magnetic vinyl pockets which can be used on a refrigerator or on the back of a metal door. I was thinking it might be fun to use different colored strips of card stock, say per subject (so my kids would know what to expect each day). OR, how about laying out a colorful t-shirt in the morning for a surprise field trip day? Upon seeing the t-shirts in the AM, they'd know we were heading somewhere for an outside learning activity. Our kids are still young enough to go along with such a routine and enjoy the fun aspects involved. We also have toddlers. I was even considering a different colored t-shirt for myself as a means of being ultra organized each day. Between paints, Play-Doh, and poop, it sounds like a reasonable wardrobe option. Just trying to keep things interesting and fun for our family. Thanks for the thoughts.

But what might be a flaw/mistake that can be put up with or forgiven "for the sake of love" for one... might be a justified reason to call it quits for another. Just to give an example... drug addiction. Some lovers of drug addicts choose to stay with the drug addict because they want to stand by the one they love through thick and thin, for better or for worse... while others leave the drug addict because they can no longer take the pain or "bullsh*t". A less extreme example would be someone with not-so-great hygiene. One person might overlook this because the unkempt person in question is fantastic otherwise, while another might end the relationship because "love is not enough" to fix unpleasant odors or whatever the turn-off may be.

To start off with, use things like two large water bottles full of water, as the smaller size weights that you need to build up with will be too small for you very quickly. Once you get to bigger sizes, then buy them cos you will use those a while.

Everything is all used played with a lot but it’s all in excellent condition not stuff just to throw away cause it‘s in bad shape. We were debating what to do with all these toys. Grew up in a small town where there are more people than jobs. I live about 7 miles from said town with parents that really shouldn't be parents. (Beat me with anything they could find, told me to quit school, told me I was good for nothing.) I received about $90,000 total in scholarships and grants for any school of my choice in Indiana. I was told by my dad "We cannot afford to pay back the loan," "cannot afford scholarships or grants," and "college is for rich people." While my mother said, "Don't sign a damn thing for the little ****, we don't owe him a damn thing" also stating how I'm "good for nothing" a "waste of space" and how stupid I am and "should quit school." I was denied my scholarships and grants after they refused to sign papers acknowledging them and refused to look at student aid. I had to get my parents' signatures or any other adults' in order to go, but no one in my family would help. The state of Indiana says "The child must be 23, OR make $50,000/year and Own a house to be classified as non-dependent" so I'm 26 now, still not in school working temporary contract jobs (Been 2 months since the last one) and wondering if I could potentially sue them for abuse, slander, and negligence or if I'm SOL and just need to disown them.

My son just turned 2 a week ago and didn't say more than about 10 words until around 22 months. Before that it was just basic mama, dada, cat. Now he can name all his body parts, all the colors, tons of animals and their sounds, and uses 2-3 word sentences. He went from a few words to all that in the span of a month. He'll talk when he's ready.

How do I fix my hair?!?! I don't know what to do!!!?

Okay. I started dying my hair when I was 12 years old. Between 12-14 I only dyed my hair like, 5 times. Then, when I turned 15, I started doing stuff like bleaching, and multiple dyes. I am now sixteen and I have colored my hair about 15 times and bleached it totally about 5-6 times, not including highlights, which I have done those about 5 times too. I bleached it blonde, and I think I left it in for too long, because some strands started falling out. Recently, I decided to go from a beautiful blonde color I actuall like, to a bright bright unnatural red. So, like a bad ***, I went to school with it and they kicked me out until I changed it because it was "too distracting". And I was pissed. I tryed an auburn color, and it turned it bright purple and white. I was, again, angry and I had already spent about 15 dollars on dyes that weren't turning out. Anyway, so I ran out and spent FIVE more dollars on some black hair dye which did not come out black at all. It came out all ashy and brown. But I delt with it. Anyway, summer vacation came and I bleached my bangs blonde and I put dyed them blue. And then, I hit the local pool for the summer and it turns out, blue hair dye and chlorine = green hair. Plus, after swimming, everytime I would wash my hair, as it would dry, it would be hard, like, I had dryed syrup in my hair, and then when I brushed it, it looked like straw. So yet again, (this is about a month after the brown incident) I ran out and got a brown/red color. I tryed to dye it and the color took in some areas and just stayed brown in others, and when I washed it, the blue/green was still visible and it looked gray. It looked horryfying. (This was about two weeks ago) So while it was still wet, I put in a hot oil treatment and then some leave in nourishing conditioner. And it started falling out when I brushed it. As any normal human would, I FREAKED. I had about breast legnth hair, and here it is falling out. So I just delt with it, went to sleep that night, and when I woke up, I got a shower, let it dry, went to brush it, and the back was shoulder legnth. MY HAIR FELL OUT, PEOPLE! I was so upset. I had the hair on either sides of my face that were still breast legnth, and the back was a good 5 inches shorter. So anyway, I cut it myself and it felt healthier. I waited two days, and it seemed fine. So I went swimming and when I got out of the pool, my boyfriend looked at me horrified and said "You're hair is GREEN!" and I wa like "Woah. WTF?" and I looked and sure enough... It was. So now, I am sitting here with brownish green hair and I don't know what to do. And now it's doind the hard thing again. :( Any suggestions on how I can make my hair healthy again without cutting it? Or spending hundreds of dollars at a salon. (And I don't plan on dying it again, so please, no one use that as a suggestion.)

I am looking for any advice on how to win my ex fiance back. He broke up with me 2 days ago and it is destroying me inside. A little side history. We have known each other since we were 8. 2 weird dreams, help interprate?

I was walking in the woods and I saw a cabin so I go inside and find some play-doh and start crafting still movies with it or crafting something I cant remember but it had to do with jason from friday 13th but I dont think there was any anxiety in the dream. maybe when I was first walking, then I hear my mom call me and she has a german shepherd she's leading in the house. I've never seen this house but I remember saying it was better than our last one. I was on my cross country team last year and was The worst person on the team. Well there were only like 5 girl but I would come like 5 places away from last place agaist other schools. Advice about my landlord?

Hi all i live in a privately rented house and i have fallen out with my landlord as basically the house if not in a fit state, we have not had a boiler check for the first two years that we were there but have just received one this year, the fire has been condemned and one plug socket is powered by a wire going through the wall and plugged into a socket in the kitchen, there are no smoke alarms in the house and the back door was forced by an intruder and is now broken (this was reported to the landlord but was ignored) water leaks through a aerial socket in the conservatory, the drains back up in the kitchen, the toilet blocks all the time upstairs and downstairs..... need i go on, my landlord has now issued me with a hand written notice to quit, is this acceptable? he told me to vacate with immediate effect we havent had a tenancy agreement for two years! and we dont think the mortgage on the house is a buy to let as we have his mortgage statements coming here! could someone shed some light on this? we are pulling our hair out! (we have had some really good advice from a solicitor) but just want someones opinion who has been in this situation before!

My own experience with Maxi Blonde was a disaster, but I was also lifting multiple layers of red. It turned my hair orange, and I was afraid to leave it to process longer out of fear of damaging my hair. I use Clairol Basic White lightning powder and Salon Care 30 Volume mixture, both available at Sally's or other beauty supply stores. You also might want to use a blonde toner to cancel out any yellow/orange tones. For platinum, I'd suggest Wella Color charm White Lady. As for SPLAT... my friend used the purple SPLAT on her hair three months ago, and it's still purple. Depends on how you rinse/shampoo... she only shampoos that part of her hair once a week, and rinses in cold water. If you're bleaching & doing color streaks, be cautious of the color bleeding onto the blonde areas when rinsing out. Youdon't want to be left with light blue tinted blonde hair!

ok, so my little sister (age 12) has been stealing my belongings and coming up with these huge lies that contradict themselves. She steals stupid things like play-doh and tell us shes gotton them from her "friend" and look she can prove it because if has her friends name writtin on a piece of tape (that we saw her grab and put there) in her handwriting. once we notice the items are missing she finds subtle ways to put them back that clearly werent supposed to look suspicious (a pile of crystals neatly stacked under my dresser across the room from were they originally were) The stealing has grown to more expensive items like my mothers rings.
