Dying different color hair?

Okay so my aunt has strawberry blonde hair (on the lighter side) and she dyed a small chunk of it blonde a little while ago and she wants to dye her hair like a lighter auburn color, and i'm wondering if it's gonna come out a different color on her super blonde piece? Any advice on how to dye so it will come out somewhat the same shade? please help
