Can anyone help me with my ex? (preferably female point of view)?

i dated a girl for about a year and a half. we had an amazing connection and an amazing love for each other. and i treated this girl like a queen. our problem is we fought a lot about stupid things and it tore our relationship apart. after we split we talked and got together once in a while, but she didn't want to get back together. we discussed what our problems were and what steps could be taken for them to not happen again, but still nothing. then she basically stopped giving me the time of day. she'd respond to me once in a while but it wasn't even a response worth giving. after a while of driving myself nuts trying to get her to even have a normal conversation which i couldnt get i had to take a break and i deleted her from my social networking accounts and changed my phone number. now while i'm in more control of myself i still miss her greatly but she still won't talk to me. so can anyone give me some insight as to what may be on her mind, and advice as to what i should do now, whether its trying to get her to open up to me again, or if i should quit. i've come to terms that quitting seems to be my only option, but its not the one i want to choose.
