Eyeshadow colours that suit pale skin and brown eyes?

I have very pale skin and dark brown, almost black pupils, I usually wear black eyeliner but I don't think it brings out my eyes as well, what colours would go well with my skin colour and my eyes? I have auburn/ginger hair...help would be greatly appreciated?:)
